The Boston Massacure was thought to be a small bloody where the British were murdering innocent colonists. This image was depicted by an engraving by Paul Revere. But this wasn't really the case. A few of the causes of the real Boston Massacure was a letter sent by Thomas Hutchingson to the British stating that the is a need for control in the colonies, but also, now that all of the colonists were worked up, someone threw a snowball at an "important" person, an this made the British mad. The British then sent young soldiers to "fix" the problem and put the colonists in their place.
