The Stamp Act, established in 1765, caused an out rage against everyone involved. The Stamp Act stated that almost everything was taxed, and carried a stamp on it. The colonists were very unhappy about this, saying that it showed that England didn't give a rip about them. They noticed that they were being treated as poorly as servents, women, children, and the homless were over in England. They weren't going to put up with this, so they sent petitions to England, but they were ignored. They even forced the stamp man to resign, and ruined the governers home. Dispite the fact that the Governer was against the Stamp Act personally, he felt it his duty, and enforced it in public any way. Finally, Parlement repealed the Stamp Act in February of 1766, and the people were happier.
