Thomas Jefferson is well known for being the 3d president of the United States of America. But, long before he became presitent, he wrote a very important document that changed the world FOREVER! This document is the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was a virginian, and before he was chosen to write the Declaration of Independence, he hadn't said a word about anything in the government. When the wrote the document, he wrote something that seemed very radical at the time. He wrote that ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. At the time this ment all white men were created equal, and didn't apply to slaves and women. But today, women and people of other skin colors are included.
